Canadian History of Education
The Canadian History of Education Association / Association canadienne d’histoire de l’éducation (CHEA/ACHÉ) brings together scholars, students, educators, teacher educators, and community-based researchers to study the educational past in Canada and abroad. CHEA/ACHÉ offers a lively network of interdisciplinary and international scholars committed to critical dialogue on various aspects of “schooling,” broadly defined.
CHEA/ACHÉ is currently planning its next biennial meeting for Winnipeg on October 15-17, 2026. Click here for the latest announcements.
On October 16 at 6:30 EDT, Prof. Scott MacLean from the University of Calgary will be talking about his recent article in Historical Studies in Education: ““A Lasting Alliance Between Town and Gown”? Dalhousie Extension Lectures, 1890 – 1945.” You can register for this event here: https://westernuniversity.zoom.us/meeting/register/88Qt_IqvT7yZ1BGpSrDTiw
